About Dandelion
What is Dandelion?
Dandelion is a legacy planning platform for families. We help you create a legal will and power of attorney, organize the information your family would need in an emergency, and preserve the things that matter most, all in one place.
Who is Dandelion for?
You're in the right place if:
- You want to cross getting a will and power of attorney off your to-do list
- You have the documents, but your family would have no idea where to find them, who to call, or what you actually want
Welcome, you’re in good company. Dandelion brings your legal documents, household knowledge, and final wishes into one place — so the people you love are never left guessing.
What does Dandelion include?
We offer three products. Documents, where you create your legal will and power of attorney. Playbook, where you organize everything your family would need to know—accounts, contacts, what to do. And Keepsake where you store messages, videos, and basically anything you want to leave behind.
You can use Playbook and Keepsake from anywhere in the country. Documents will roll out coming this summer to Colorado and Utah first, with more states following after.
Legal Documents
Is my will actually legal?
The documents Dandelion helps you create meet the requirements for a valid will and power of attorney in your state. We built Dandelion on a foundation of state-specific law, so what you get is legitimate and attorney-created, not a generic template.
Do I need a lawyer?
While only you can decide if you need a lawyer, Dandelion guides you through the whole process. If your situation is complex—for instance if you have a blended family, you need a trust, you have a business—we'll let you know, and we can help you find an attorney. But many parents decide they don't need one with the support Dandelion provides through the process.
Can I name a guardian for my kids?
Yes, and this is usually why parents come to us. Your will is where you officially name who you'd want to raise your children if something happened to you. It's one of the most important things you can do as a parent.
Can I update my documents later?
Yes. New baby, new house, change of heart about who's in charge, we’re here for all of it. We know life changes, and your will should too. You can update your documents anytime.
Where are legal documents available?
Documents will be live in Colorado and Utah, with more states rolling out through 2026. If you're not in one of those states yet, you can still use Playbook and Keepsake, and we'll let you know when Documents reach you.
